Getting Your UBAH Biz Off to a FAST START

by Nancy Ann Wartman

Fast Start Suggestions

To get your business off to a FAST START, I would suggest:
 - setting a date for you own show (with UBAM you can be the hostess and the consultant for your own shows as often as you like)
 - as you're inviting your friends,
-- let them know how excited you are about sharing these awesome books
-- ask them if they'd like to go ahead and schedule a show to get their pick of dates within your first 3-4 weeks of business

Shows are usually more successful if they're not during the 1st week of school - the week before and the week after is better, so you might want to have a show with a hostess who's in a different school district as well, as their start date may be different.

Write Your Own Success Story!
Set your goals to receive a 50% or 100% kit rebate by selling $750 net or $1500 net during your first 30 days!  Your 30 days starts the day your kit is shipped.

Set your goals to receive free books and cash bonuses during your first 12 weeks of business.

Promote to Supervisor by the 1st of the month following your Incentive Date and you will achieve Express Success, which gives you $300 in FREE BOOKS plus $200 CASH!

Would you like to have $1500 in net sales during your first 4 weeks?
Your kit will arrive in about a 1 week, so plan at least 6-8 events within 4 weeks from when you order your kit.   You could have 2-3 shows booked each week, maybe with your first being around 11 days from when you order your kit.

Set a steady schedule of bookings, beginning right away.  When you get bookings, date them as soon as possible, as well as the shows booked from them.  If this is October and you have only 2 shows booked for February and March, you really don't have much business going on right now, when you want it.  Date the shows during the next 2 weeks and book their shows within the next 2-3 weeks and their shows within the next 2-3 weeks and so on.

Talk to people about Usborne Books every day.  Carry your books with you in your car.  Share.  Most people still don't know about Usborne Books - your business will prosper when you can take them from not knowing, to knowing.  They'll thank you!

Turn your orders in quickly so your customers and hostesses will be impressed, so you don't keep anyone waiting and so your orders will be sure to be on time to count for your awards at the Home Office.  Your Sponsor and/or Supervisor will be happy to help you in getting your orders placed.  You can also see basic and detailed instructions here for how to turn in an order.

Let your excitement shine!

See the tabs above to learn more about specific areas of the business.  You don't need to know everything to get started - just start.  Book some shows and get going - your Supervisor is there to help you learn as you go.  :-)

You Can Do It!!!
