Online School & Library Ordering

This is what many of us have dreamed of ... your schools & libraries can now order online with a purchase order!  his is a quick & easy way for them to order.
Here are some helpful things to know about our new School/Library Websites, if you are a certified Educational Consultant and have a UBAM website.

We can set up user name and passwords for all our listed schools.  It would probably be good if you try to be consistent with all you accounts like

User name: pmcclimans (or even just their email address)
Password:  centralhigh  (their school/library  name)

To set up the log in information on your accounts
Log into company website at www.MyUBAM.com
click on Web Sales Admin
click on SL Acct Management

 You need to set up the online ordering first – you’ll see that link on the left. 
Then you can scroll down at the bottom and “Create Log-in”

Once you set their account up then you will be able to click on the “view” link next to their name and see the username and password that you assigned to them.

**You will want to get that log-in information to your schools and let them know we have this great new feature for them to use.

One suggestion is to create a document on bright paper –that can include the school name, log-in and password.  You can give this info to them when you meet with them next, by email or mail it to them.   The document can even have some current info, services we provide or new titles advertised at the bottom of that document.

This is giving us a reason to go ahead and call all our schools/libraries now.

“We are rolling out our new web based ordering system and I have your log-in/password created especially for you and ready to use”

You can give the media specialists www.edclibrarybooks.com and also their log-in information or if you already have your own website then you can just create a new S/L link on your website that directs them to this one.

Media specialists will still be able to order as they did in the past- using POs and Credit Cards and there is also the capability of ordering cataloging still– but the big difference in this online ‘web based’ ordering and our previous online ordering is that they can work on the order at school and then move to another computer (at home or just across the room) to finish that order.  It’s completely web based.  

Also if the media specialist needs to get the order approved before she submits it then she can just give the log-in info to the approval person and let them do it online. 

Another thing to mention… you can set up more than one account for a school- maybe you have 3 different departments that you are working with in one school – PTA, media specialist and reading specialist.  They can all have their own log-in information.

If you haven’t gone exploring your new S&L website – go take a quick look – there is some great info on RFTS, LFL, BF and leveling.   This is a wonderful place that we can send customers to learn about our SL programs.

They can order with a credit card or Purchase Order through that link & can even order cataloging products & processing.  You will receive sales credit & commission on all orders placed through their link. 

I recommend making an appointment to show them some books, help with selection, building the trust & relationship, then after they have placed their order with you, give them a card or magnet or something with the website and their log in so they can reorder anything anytime before your next visit.  In addition to the librarian, give the link to all the teachers & support staff in the school, too!
