Consignment Inventory Guidelines

1.  To be eligible for inventory, you must have been with the company for at least three months.

2.  You are not eligible for inventory if you have had a returned check for insufficient funds with UBAM.

3.  Requests for inventory must be made in advance by calling the Home Office 1-800-611-1655 and asking for the person in charge of Consignment Orders, Natasha  or Tammy.
(She can then send you out the complete inventory packet/instructions - this information here is only page one of it!)

4.  Inventory must be guaranteed with your charge card. No debit cards can be used.  Your charge card will not be charged but a hold will be placed on your card for the amount you are requesting.  If we cannot get an approval for the amount requested, the inventory will be denied.

5.  Only one inventory can be open at any time.

6.  The amount of inventory is limited to the amount of time the consultant has been with the company.
     Please check the chart below for your qualifying amounts.

3-5 months $1,000 60 maximum
6-11 months $1,500 80 maximum
1 year + $2,000 100 maximum

7.  All inventories must be closed within thirty days from the day of your event.

8.  When closing out an inventory, orders should be turned in as either a book fair or a direct sale, if inventory was used for a booth. 

9.  You may elect to use remaining inventory only for a direct sale or a home party.

10.  You are responsible for the inventory sent to you.

11.  When closing, if sales and returns do not equal the amount shipped, you will be charged the difference.

12.  You will receive credit for your sales when you send in your order as sold from inventory.

13.  It is your responsibility to pay for shipment of any inventory being returned.  A 5% restocking fee will be charged on any books returned.  There will be a minimum restocking fee of $10.00.  If more than 25% of the inventory is returned, you may not be allowed inventory at a later date.  This is a special service we are providing you and it places a considerable extra workload on the warehouse and office when books are returned.  Carefully select your titles.  TIP - Using the BEST SELLERS LIST from your website will help with selection.

14.  Any books returned damaged or with stickers on them will be returned to you.  Your charge card will be charged for the return shipping, 5% or $5.00 minimum, plus 1/2 the retail value of the damaged books.

15.  Please include a list of the titles, quantity and retail value and total of the returned books.

16.  Inventory titles are not covered under the 90% repurchase policy.

17.  UBAM will authorize a limited amount of inventory removed from stock at any given time.

18.  You can now submit your request for Inventory titles in Order Pro.  Select INVENTOY order type, order your books ($2000 maximum), and the books will be shipped.  To reconcile the order after you sell them, currently we have to fax that in.  If you submitted the order in OPOL the books would be shipped again.
